Who I Am
Exploring Body, Heart, and Consciousness
I came to the practice of mind-body counseling from a lifetime of meditation practice in the Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Along the way, I became fluent in the Tibetan language and have been a professional translator for over ten years. My exploration of consciousness brought me face-to-face with the parts of me that resisted my own freedom. Spiritually weary and frustrated, I had to double back from the search for transcendence in search of psychological healing and (re)discovering my own wholeness and embodiment. To my surprise, I have found the personal and relational healing journey to be tremendously spiritual, and my spirituality has become far more personal and relational.
Now a father myself, I’m deeply passionate about supporting men who are contemplating or actively navigating the journey of fatherhood. This passage often stirs profound questions of identity, relationship, and capacity—and can bring long-held patterns or unresolved pain to the surface. In addition, I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, shame, and low self-esteem, as well as those who are interested in healing from early relational wounds, childhood trauma, or the impact of divorce. My approach is body-oriented, compassionate, and deeply empathetic, helping clients slow down, come into contact with what’s true beneath the surface, and find steadier ground from which to meet life and relationship with more presence, wholeness, and aliveness.
